I've got MS-DOS 6.21 on my Keynote Gold. If I upgrade to 6.22 or 6.23 will I lose all my data, programs etc? Should I back it up first? I found something called "step up files" that are actually free.

I'm wondering if these are the upgrade disks. If so, I bet if I use these I won't lose my stuff. If not, can I use the original disks that I have that aren't upgrades but just the os? Will it automatically upgrade or install as if there were no system on the drive? Where can I find Edlyn for 6.21? The os version on my laptop is stripped down and missing this and one or two other files that I want.

Always when changing an OS special older versions back up. It's the rule that way you'll be happier.

Yeah, that's what I thought. I hate that Microsoft got rid of the wonderful backup command that was in 5.0. Anyone know how I can back this thing up?
